The Mozilla Philippines Community is very thankful to Lipa City College for having us to their convention. To be honest, this is my second time in Mozilla PH Campus Tour, last time it was held in our school at Letran-Calamba.

What is Mozilla PH Campus Tour all about? Mozilla PH Campus Tour is aiming to promote the overview, features, browser, products, volunteers and also the Mozilla itself to the students. Mozilla is open for volunteers who are willing to contribute anything that they can. Here’s my temporary ID saying:

Because this is a convention, there were many guests invited, each guest has their own booth, and we have our own booth too:

Mozilla Philippines Community Manager Jun Eusebio Barrun Jr. features the overview of Mozilla Community and volunteers, Sir Jun also discussed about the new release Firefox 17.0.1.

While Mozilla Representative Robert “Bob” Reyes discussed Boot-to-Gecko or simply B2G. B2G is about Firefox OS which can bring you the open web for your mobile devices. For more info visit – http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefoxos/

Later, Sir Jun and Mozilla Representative Joell Lapitan talked about the features of Firefox browser. Firefox is Fast. Safe. Smart browser, we have Firefox Beta, Aurora Firefox, Firefox Nightly and the stable Firefox Browser. Firefox browser has a lot of features that can give your needs in browser. Mozilla Day Conference @Letran-Calamba (8 Sept 12)

Hello everyone, let me introduce myself I’m Jyra Bulan a BS Information Technology student of Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba and also a part time Student Representative of MozillaPH Community. How’s your day every one?

We celebrate the Mozilla Day Conference to represent the features of Mozilla and the other supporting products of Mozilla. Here is the summary of discussions in conference.

There are a million of people who use Firefox browser but, most of them are not that aware with Nightly, Aurora, Firefox Beta, and the Stable Mozilla Firefox browsers (stable Firefox or often called Mozilla Firefox) yet, these are the other feature products of Mozilla. In Mozilla Day Conference held in Letran-Calamba, our mentor discussed the use of Mozilla Firefox, the Firefox Add-ons like Firebug, Web Developer, Abduction! And Web2Mobile. Example, the Abduction add-on, when your professor is requiring you to pass the print screen of your newly done webpage project you can use Abduction tool where you can print out the whole page without putting it in Photoshop or any image editor tools. Technology is moving to mobile, Firefox for Android. Firefox browser is now available in Android phones; it can perform faster than the other mobile browsers. Here is the site www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/

Firefox OS, yes you read it right, Firefox is not just a browser now but an operating system. Firefox OS is now open to mobile device which is faster than the other operating system on mobile devices. Firefox OS provides your need, if you want to know more about it just check out the site here at www.mozilla.org/en-US/b2g/ this site can help you more about Firefox OS.

Firefox Persona, if you’re a student who love creativity for your Firefox browsers here you can create your own theme www.getpersonas.com/en-US/ or just choose a design, Persona provides a lot of themes came from different designers that you can use.

Customizing your own desktop? Why not?

I’m a netbook user with a Win7 Ultimate OS and It’s really fun making my own idea on how my desktop looks cool. Designing is my hobby since I was a kid but I am not a pro nor excellent, as a amateur my designs are not good looking to the other professionals who made a design for a popular advertisements or commercials, but, as a teenager I’m still proud of my designs because most of us among teens are looking for some good looking, cool, kawaii, anime look and a manly look for men’s designs. So, in this post I’d like to share with you my ideas on how I design my desktop. Here are some print screen:

“Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach, actually it was just a theme that I’ve downloaded from a Otaku site.”

“Black★Rock Shooter theme.”

“Another Black★Rock Shooter theme with a rainmeter skin.”

“Bio-hazard in white/red, I was tired as I begun searching for a new theme so I decided to make my own. I used ORB changer to change the windows default orb, wallpaper from a artist somewhere on the internet and a rainmeter skin.”

“Another Bio-hazard in ash/black color.”

“Ironman/Tony Stark from the movie of course Iron Man, my latest desktop design a credit for the artist of this image.”

I am not a man but a woman, I prefer using a manly design than a girly one. For a netbook user, I suggest not to use a theme base on my experience before, I used to have a theme and I thought my netbook was about to die because only from start up up to log in is working but after that my whole desktop are all black and only the mouse pointer can be shown. So I asked for a help to a friend of mine and everything was fine. So after that catastrophic moment on my netbook I’ve never used a theme again until now hahaha. I think theme is for laptop, notebook and for a pc hahaha BTW I am not forcing you to built your own design on your desktop if you don’t want. But…

So, what are you waiting for? Use your imagination and creativity and design your own desktop.

2012 April 15, Sunday Afternoon

We’re on the way home from Mt. Romelo check out our video, Say Goodbye to Mt. Romelo! We’re Going Home Now :]

I know that most of you guys couldn’t understand Filipino language so as my consideration for viewing my blog I’ll tell you the story why we were laughing in that video.

“Of course our adventure won’t end in just one adventure. Teasing is one of the funniest way to have a friend/s though sometimes it’s unacceptable but being tease by friend is fun. As you heard the words royal blood, kidnap, Mt. Everest and etc. don’t panic where just telling a joke HAHAHAHAHA XD. Having a friends like them is fun though I’m speechless hahahaha…”

Team Buruwisan – is non-government organization that was created in 2012 April 11 actually we are not an organization we are just a group of ordinary students who are definitely Filipino and teens.

Sorry for posting this again I just really love the view from here.

Am I talking non-sense? Hope not, because if you really understand what we were talking about you’re about to laugh. Thank you for having a time checking our vid and having a time reading this post hope you enjoy…

Another Adventure with New Friends (2012 April 13-15)

Having a trip with Friends is fun, this is unintentionally journey, we’ve just talk about Hiking and that’s it until we planned it on Wednesday morning we did not expect this actually that was just a simple joke. This was my first time to have an adventure with friends what I mean is climbing up in mountain that was a lil bit dangerous ♫♪…

The way to Mt. Romelo.

Every place has its own stop over hahahaha 1st stop over.

From the 4th stop over(I’m not sure with this) you can see the top view of Mt. Romelo the Barangays’ MAYBE.

I really love this view it makes me feel fresh like the image above.

One does not simply go into Batya-Batya Falls haha I might choose to climb than to swim in a deep water(they said) risky but fun.

Save the bags before yourselves! hahaha way to Batya-Batya Falls.

And we finally get into our destination the Batya-Batya Falls.

Going down to Buruwisan Falls, actually Buruwisan Falls is far from Batya-Batya Falls so it can take a minutes to walk. Sorry but we only have a limited pictures going to Buruwisan Falls.

Finally! I’d like to introduce to you the beauty of Buruwisan Falls. This is the perfect place for summer a cold water

Of course after the long hour of walking in a rocky, slippery, muddy, watery, leechys haha we finally get into our destination the Buruwisan Falls though it’s hard to get there but still worth it for us and I can add this into my check list of adventures. We’ve stayed here for 2 days and 1 night, they said it’s cold there in night but not to be boast I think it’s not(if I get wet then I get cold). Actually it’s hard to make a fire that we can use to cook for our food I mean rice but we survived that. We have very limited utensils to use so we borrowed from the store not far from our place but you need to climb up to get there. I have a lot of story to tell but it’s hard to speak in English than to type the words… XD

Every journey has its end, so on the 3rd day we packed up all our things to get ready for our way home and this was our shot in the middle of maybe walking hahaha I’m not sure with that. Thank you guys I’ve really enjoy this adventure with you, next time again.

It’s Graduation day in Letran-Calamba

First of all, I’d like to congratulate my dear Friends who are in graduation ceremony right now and also to those strangers who I’ve never talk with, as they celebrating their last day in college. I know my greeting is kind of annoying all the time I make a conversation with you guys. But, I want you to know that I’m very thankful to you because you made me laugh, you share your knowledge to me, you gave me a hand when I need help and I am happy that you’re in your dream right now and of course you gave me a time to be your friend even in your level (I mean for being a senior or 4th year).
